A Few Words From the Owner
Cats have been a constant in my life since early childhood. I remember bringing home strays and asking my mother if we could feed them just once. Of course, they would be there to stay. As an adult, I have always been known by my family and friends as the "The Cat Lady™".
In 1997, when a repetitive movement injury req
uired that I find a new profession, I decided to try to find a way to make use of my passion for cats. This business is the result. I am thrilled to be able to offer a service to cat owners that is so personally rewarding for me.
To my clients who entrust me with the care of their precious cats, I deeply thank you and pledge my utmost efforts in making your cats as comfortable as they can be in your absence.
Pictured here and in the header on every page are the cats who currently allow me to share their home (as long as I bring home the cat food!).

HONORING CATS
The hardest part of this work is saying good-bye to cats when they have to leave us. My staff and I often miss them nearly as much as losing one of our own.
Experiencing these losses has inspired this personal motto about my role in life: "Caring for cats while they're here and honoring them when they're gone."
One way I have found to honor the memories of client cats we have cared for is Elmer's Memorial Page on this website.
Honoring the memories of all cats inspired my online store: Purring in Paradise™, The Cat Remembrance Store. The Store provides free pet loss resources and is a place to obtain cat loss sympathy cards, memorial gifts, cat urns, cremation jewelry and other items for honoring beloved cats.
CELEBRATING CATS

Caring for cats over the years has inspired not only my Cat Remembrance Store. In October of 2009, I launched a second online store. This one is in celebration of cats and the love that they invoke from their humans. At Cyber Cat Lady™, you will find cat greeting and note cards for all occasions as well as great gift ideas for cat lovers.
Finally, Cat Watchers™ is the proud sponsor of an international day celebrating cats.
Taking inspiration from Take Your Kids to Work Day and Take Your Dogs to Work Day, my cats decided to celebrate a special day for cats and their humans by refusing to work. Leave Your Cat at Home™ Day is celebrated annually on the last Friday in February.
